Baby Mac is Here!

On Friday, April 17th (an awesome day b/c it is also my sister and good friend Christina's b-day!) at 2:01 pm, baby Mac took his first breath of fresh air. He has been getting cuter and cuter everyday. Here are some pictures:

How can you not agree that is one of the cutest babies ever?

So maybe I am a little sleep deprived, but that is nothing compared to having little Mac home with us!

First trip out of the house. Thanks Christian and Kimberly for the super warm camo-blanket!

Pictures from Silver Spring

We recently (OK it was probably like a month ago) went to Silver Spring, MD and got to meet up with our awesome friends Dan and Julia.

Here we are just waiting for Little Mac to arrive!

Julia was expectantly hoping to feel Mac move.....

Yay! That was a big kick! (Future soccer player we hope)

Baby on the Way!

Well it looks like we've had this blog for 3 years and I have only put up one post! (Sorry about never getting around to posting the flower pictures). I can't believe I didn't even post anything about our self-contained bike tour of the Blue Ridge Pkwy this summer! (over 470 miles). I'll add some pictures from that trip below.

The latest big news with us is our first baby on the way: MacArthur "Mac" Russell Johns, expected on April 24th. I will try to keep this blog updated with cute baby pictures and stories!

Blue Ridge Parkway Pictures

We started off the trip with our awesome travel buddies: Andy and Heather (soon to be married in May!)
Ellis carried pretty much all of the weight on his bike...
But I had some bags too!
We ran out of water, but we still made it to the highest point on the Parkway

One of the many beautiful views along the way
Here we are at the top of Craggy Gardens. It was closed due a landslide, and we had to bike for 6 hours on the closed road hoping not to run into a Forest Ranger!
I made a lot of butterfly friends at the top of Craggy Gardens
Here's Ellis making another one his delicious breakfasts at one of the camp sites.
Here we are at Mabry Mill. It was a really neat historical site along the way!
We finally made it to VA and the Shennandoah Mtns. Here is one of the beautiful views.
The last view on the Parkway! We were almost there after 12 days!
Over 470 miles down - We made it!
