Bottle it up

For the last half hour, Corrie and I have been up in my bedroom just hanging out while Mac has been napping. I am on the laptop, and she is just happily laying on her back, kicking and smiling and talking to the hanging toys in her play-gym. The sun is shining through the windows and the birds are chirping. Oh man, I just looked over at her and he is giving the little hanging birdy thing a HUGE smile...wish I could bottle up this moment and save it forever!

Mac

His favorite activities these days are playing outside with his sand and trucks, and also trying to do his everyday activities with his eyes closed. Wish I had a picture of that for you, but I will try to paint a picture for you: imagine Mac with his eyes all scrunched up and a sweet smile on his face....walking blindly into walls and trying to feed himself at the dinner table. If he wasn't so cute I would be annoyed with all of the boo boo's and messes!

Corrie

She's sitting in a bumbo seat already! Her favorite thing to say is "sshhppreee," which is the sound of her spitting and blowing raspberries. I wish you could see her in person...she's very sweet!

If not for the Lord

Just reading this article and this blog post this morning was enough to both break my heart and think about this world that little Mac and Corrie face today. I am sure every parent has thought about this at some point, so I am sure you can relate if you have kids. The Lord brought to mind a verse that was very comforting to me:

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age." Titus 2:11-12
