Mac. How can I describe what it is like to be your mom? Well, I can tell you that you have brought me closer the Lord. When you came home from the hospital, I had no clue (other than reading a book, which arguably did more harm than good) what to do or how to take care of you. What I did have was the Lord. He kept you safe and healthy and by His provision, you thrived.
Now you are two...almost three!!!! And you know what? It is still the Lord who gets all the credit for your maturation from an infant to an expressive toddler. Though not for the same reasons, just like the night I brought you home from the hospital, there are many times when I am literally on my knees praying for the Lord to show me just what you need and for wisdom to be a godly mommy for you. The Lord has created you with a strong will, and I know that even though it causes me to have some sore knees now, it will be your greatest strength.
As you have grown and I have struggled, I have seen the Lord develop you into such a fun little friend. You are starting to talk more intelligibly, and now we are finally hearing an explanation for the myriad of expressions we have been observing over the past few years. What were once chubby (emphasis on chubby) little baby feet are now strong little boy looking feet. I was so amazed at what God had made when He brought you us, and I am still amazed by how God has grown you.
Little Mac, I just want to tell you that your mommy loves you.
